I have been enjoying using Winsor and Newton water soluble oils. I will have to return to watercolour soon as I will forget how to paint in that medium!!
Today’s picture is of the Dales village of Muker. The building in the foreground is a library . This will be one of a series of Dales paintings. This one use bamboo and ink along with watercolour washes.
This is a painting of West Burton in the Yorkshire Dales National Park where Karen and I visited as part of a lovely few days with my brother Dave and wife Julie. It was a difficult subject as there was quite a uniformity of colour and tone. I’m not totally happy with this at least it gives a reasonable impression of the scene.
